Project Description

Westside Baptist Church chose Wiens & Company to renovate the existing education wing, which was a confusing combination of diverse structures cobbled together over a half century by volunteer efforts. Four different levels and a maze of passages made the old facility unattractive and difficult to use.

The renovation included demolition of the entire interior to a shell space. A large foyer, luxurious restrooms, an inviting nursery, spacious classrooms, and an exciting children’s worship area were built. The project included new HVAC and Electrical service as well.

Wiens & Company devised and executed an efficient strategy for demolition while maintaining structural integrity of the remaining portion. The Owner was very pleased that the project was completed within budget and on time, saving 40% over what new construction would have cost.
